DID YOU KNOW? #TheAuthor
• The Author was released on the day before Tempo’s birthday (31 March)
• After 1 hour of getting released(at 7PM), the Author got over 3000 downloads(at 8PM)… The next day, the downloads doubled from +3000 to + 6000(on Tempo’s Birthday)
• The Author was originally titled “The Author” but during production was titled “Turn Up Juice” until Dizzay decided to keep “The Author”
• Throughout The Author, Tempo swears 20 times (without counting the word “n!gg#r” which might be considered offensive to some people)
• The Author was originally suppose to be an Inverse-Twinnz track until Tempo performed the song solo at “Feel The Tempo” then later on went to go record the song with the other half of Inverse-Twinnz producing it.
• The line in the chorus “welcome to Uptown to might get robbed by my neighbor” refers to one of Uptown’s(Pimville) nyaope boys who’s life drastically turned around when he got hooked to drugs and he now robs everybody but he’s currently in jail so yeah… Next!
• The deep voice supporting Tempo in The Author is known as “Rippuh”(Tempo’s alter ego)
• The gunshot effect in the first verse by “life’s looking (shot) ever since I…” Replaced the word “Lavish” so originally it’s “Life’s looking LAVISH ever since I…”
• The boy on The Author’s album art is Tempo’s nephew, Boipelo Mohale.
• The beat heard after The Author is a sample of the song that’s going to follow after The Author (no titles)… Just enjoy the author and the rest will follow later in time!
